Arthur Slobe, 68, a former resident of Sioux Center, passed away at his home in San Diego, Calif., on January 14.

Services were held January 18 in the Chapel of Prayer in Cypress View.

Mr. Slobe was born March 28, 1909 in Sioux Center, was a painter and carpenter many years. He was married to Vera Vander Broek.

Survivors include, the widow, one son, Ronald of Riverside, Calif., 4 brothers, William of San Diego, Fred of Sioux Falls, S.D., James of Algona, Iowa, Elmer of Gainsville, Florida, 2 sisters, Mrs. Wallace (Wilhilmina) Young, Mrs. Leonard (Augiluie) Visser and 3 grandchildren.
