Miss Ruth Brunsma, 59, of George died Sunday at a hospital in Denver, Colo, after a long illness.

A memorial service was conducted at 2 P.M., Friday in the Evangelical United Methodist Church in George. The Rev. Walter Phelpps officiated.

Miss Brunsma had arranged to have her body donated to a medical center at Denver.

Mrs. Brunsma was born Jan. 31, 1918, in George. She was graduated from George High School in 1935 and later from Westmar College at Le Mars. She also attended the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls.

Miss Brunsma taught school at LeMars and Waterloo.

She was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in George.

Survivors include two brothers, Vernon of Carson, Calif., and Roland of Boulder, Colo., and a sister, Mrs. Charles (Verona) Maertz.
