Rites Held Here Tuesday for Mrs. G. Zeutenhorst
Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church here at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday for Mrs. Gerrit Zeutenhorst, 63 of 330 First Avenue Northeast, Sioux Centeer, who passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at her home Saturday afternoon, August 10, l963 of a heart ailment. She had been sweeping the sidewalk in front of her home shortly before her passing.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Harry Brower and burial was made in the Sioux Center Community cemetery with Vander Ploeg's Funeral home in charge of arrangements.
A brief seervice attended by immediate members of the family was held at the Vander Ploeg Funeral chapel preceding the service at the church.
Pallbearers were Gerard Zeutenhorst, Edward Jansen, Marvin Zeutenhorst, Bernard Koops, Arthur Kammerman and Arend Broek.
Mrs. Zeutenhorst, nee Jessie Vander Brake, was born in Sioux Center November 9, l899 and resided here all her life. She was married to Gerrit Zeutenhorst December 21, l939
Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Stanley Campagne and Marlo Zeutenhorst, one step son, Herbert Zeutenhorst, seven grandchildren; three sisters, Effie (Mrs Henry Eggink) of Sioux Center, Berde (Mrs. Dick Schaap) of Orange City and Mary (Mrs. Ben Borgman.
Two brothers, Gerrit and Lane Vander Brake, preceded her in death.
