Mrs. Harry Swift, 82, of Hawarden died Tuesday at a Hawarden nursing home.

Services were at 10:30 P.M., Friday in the United Methodist Church. The Rev. Marion Bloodworth officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery with the Dow Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Swift, the former Ruth Vail, was born Nov. 7, 1895, at Hawarden. She was married Aug. 23, 1924, at Hawarden. Mrs. Swift had been employed as a bookkeeper for a Hawarden hardware store for several year. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and active in United Methodist Women's Society and church choir.

Survivors include the widower.
