John Barinsky, Jr., 51, of rural Hawarden died Tuesday night at his home after suffering an apparent heart attack.

Services were held at 2 P.M., Friday in St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church in Preston Township, rural Akron. The Rev. James Sandvik officiated. Burial was in the church cemetery with the Dow Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Barinsky was born Dec. 27, 1926, in rural Hawarden. He married Mary Jean Ten Napel Dec. 27, 1948, at Ireton. They farmed in the Ireton and Hawarden area. Mr. Barinsky was a member of St. John Evangelical Lutheran Church.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. John (Barbara) Brandau of Hutchinson, Minn., and Mrs. Mark (Sandra) Borchers of Akron; three sons, Douglas of Wayzata, Minn., Gregory of Sioux City and Mark of Hawarden; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Roy (Lola) Kaelke of New London, Minn., and Mrs. Lester (Lois) Janssen of Hawarden.
