Arie J. Boone, 84, of Orange City, died May 7 at the Orange City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 10 A.M., May 10 in the First Reformed Church. Dr. Raymond Heukelom and Rev. Perry Raak officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mr. Boone was born April 25, 1892 in Orange City. He married Henrietta Plender March 9, 1913 at Orange City.

He farmed in Sioux County for many years and worked for the county as a maintainer operator.

Survivors include his widow; a son, Henry D. of Long Beach, Calif; two daughters, Mrs. Russell (Dorothy) Te Grotenhuis and Mrs. Hans (Mildred) Vander Maten, both of Orange City; four brothers, Gerrit, Britton, S.D., Andrew H. of Sheldon, William H. of Sioux Center and Henry of Orange City; two sisters, Mrs. Peter (Artie) Vander Tuig of Orange City and Mrs. Henry (Jenny) Heemstra of Sioux Center; 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
