Peter W. Sinkey, 61, of Hawarden, died Wednesday at Sioux Falls hospital.

Services were at 1:30 p.m. Friday in the Christian Reformed Church at Hawarden with the Rev. Robert Van Hofwegen officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton under direction of the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. Sinkey was born November 13, 1916, at Ireton. He married Johanna Schiebout January 25, 1940, at Ireton. They farmed in the Ireton area until moving to Hawarden in February 1963.

He was employed by the West Sioux schools for the last 11 years. He was a member of the Christian Reformed Church.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Bob (Patricia) Reno of Storm Lake, and Mrs. Larry (Linda) Abbey of Hawarden; three grandchildren; three brothers, Jake and Frank, both of Ireton, and Bill of Ashton; three sisters, Mrs. Ted (Johanna) Reipma of Sioux Center, Mrs. Clarence (Bertha) Peters of Orange City, and Mrs. Sidney (Minnie) Eisma of Ireton.
