Mrs. Fred (Dorthea) Stengel, 78, Mountain Home, Ark., a former Doon resident, died May 8 at her residence in Mountain Home.

Services were held at 2 P.M., May 12 at the Doon Congregational Church. The Rev. David Waterman officiated. Burial was in Forest Hill Cemetery of Canton, S.D., under direction of the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.

Mrs. Stengel was born Dec. 8, 1897. Mr. Stengel preceded her in death.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Loren (Doris) Nebbin of Mountain Home; three grandchildren, a great grandchild; two stepsons; and several brothers and sisters.
