HAWARDEN--Paul "Bud" Schiefen,67, of Hawarden, died Wednesday in Hawarden hospital.

Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Dow Funeral Home. The Rev. Dr.Cornelius I. Wilkens officiated. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery. A prayer service was held at 7:30 o'clock Friday in the funeral home.

Mr. Schiefen was born Oct.4, 1909, near Hawarden. He married Burnice Miller Feb.28, 1932, at Sioux City. Mr Schiefen was a member of the Associated Church of Hawarden and Eagles Aerie.

Survivors include the widow; five sons, Bernard and Gerald, both of Hawarden, Donald of Fort Collins, Colo., Clark Douglas of Joliet, Ill., and Michael of Orange City; five grandchildren; four brothers, Phillip of Hudson, SD., Pat of Jefferson, SD.,Vincent of Sioux City and Joe of Hawarden; and two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Sonichson and Mrs. Helen Pederson, both of Yankton, SD.
