Hull, Ia - Mrs. Emert (Jelske) Cuperus, the oldest resident of Hull, died June 7 at a Hull nursing home of a brief illness. She was 100.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., June 10 in the First Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. John B. Hulst officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery under direction of the Kraai Funeral Home.

Mrs. Cuperus was born May 15, 1876, in The Netherlands. She and her husband came to the United States in 1906 and settled at Midland Park, N.J.

In 1917, Mr. & Mrs. Cuperus moved to Sioux County and farmed west of Hull until 1937 when they retired to Hull. Mr. Cuperus died in 1950 at Hull.

Mrs. Cuperus was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church in Hull.

Survivors include a son, Louis of Hull; 17 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.
