Maurice, Iowa-Peter W. De Jager, 70, rural Maurice, died June 19 at his home of a sudden illness.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., June 23 at the First Reformed Church in Orange City with the Rev. Frank Snuttjer and the Rev. Dr. Raymond Van Heukelom officiating. Burial in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City was under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mr. De Jager was born Aug. 8, 1905, in Maurice. He farmed in the Maurice area before retiring in 1975. He married Angie Van Kley Jan. 25, 1933, in Alton.

He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Dick (Gladys) Vander Stoep of Maurice; two grandsons; a brother, Steve Siebersma of Orange City, and three sisters, Mrs. John Kamstra and Mrs. Gerrit Kroeze, both of Orange City, and Mrs. Charles Kuhl of Slayton, Minn.
