Herman J. "Bob" Boersma, 60, of Hospers, died June 10 in an Orange City hospital of a long illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., June 14 in the Hospers Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Robert Offerdahl officiated. Burial was in Hospers Cemetery with the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home of Sioux Center in charge.

Mr. Boersma was born Jan. 29, 1916, in Hospers. He married Reka Van Rennes March 21, 1939, in Hospers. Mr. & Mrs. Boersma farmed in the Hospers area.

Survivors include the widow: three sons, Ronald D. of Beloit, Kan.; Richard W. of Boulder, Colo., and Michael J. of Enumclaw, Wash.; a daughter, Mrs. Danny (Linda) Eichblatt of San Bonito, Tex.; four grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Josie Foreman of Hospers; a brother, Harry of Hospers; and a sister, Mrs. Don (Leona) Raak of Hospers.
