Mrs. John Kleyer, 76, Rock Valley died July 23 at her home following a long illness.

Services were held at 1:30 P.M., July 27 at the Carmel Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. David Laman officiated. Burial was in Carmel Cemetery at Carmel under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center.

Mrs. Kleyer, the former Sophie Meendering, was born Jan. 18, 1900, in The Netherlands. She came to Rock Valley in 1927.

She was married Dec. 27, 1934, in Fairview, S.D.

Survivors include the widower; a son, Paul of Rock Valley; a daughter, Mrs. John (Sylvia) De Ruyter of Rock Valley; three sisters, Mrs. Harriet Vander Wolde of Sioux Center, Tina Meendering and Truda Tammens, both of The Netherlands; and 10 grandchildren.
