Alton-Mrs. John Lammers, 83, Alton, died Aug. 20 in an Orange City hospital after a long illness.

Services were held at 10:30 A.M., Aug. 23 in the First Reformed Church at Orange City. Dr. Raymond Van Heukelom and the Rev. Perry Raak officiated. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery at Alton under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.

Mrs. Lammers, the former Etta Van't Hull, was born Oct. 16, 1892, at Alton. She was married to John Lammers Feb. 27, 1913, at Alton. She had lived in the Alton vicinity most of her life and was a member of the First Reformed Church of Orange City.

Survivors include the widower; two daughters, Mrs. Cornie (Myna) Harmelink of Sioux Center and Mrs. Herman (Jennie) Oordt of Orange City; a son, Donald of Alton; a brother, Charles of Viborg, S.D.; 10 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
