Hawarden-Mathew McNamara, 79, of Hawarden, died Sept. 14 in Wewahitchka, Fla.

Services were held at 9 A.M., Sept 21 in St. Mary's Catholic Church at Hawarden. The Rev. William Carel officiated and burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was recited at 8 P.M., Sept. 20 at the Dow Funeral Home.

Mr. McNamara was born July 6, 1897, in Union County, S.D. He married Agnes Carr June 24, 1924, at Jefferson, S.D. He was a veteran of World War I. He farmed in the Alcester, S.D. area before moving to Hawarden in 1954.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Mary) Anderson of Sioux Falls, Mrs. Pat Hart of Corona Del Mar, Calif., and Mrs. Harry (Rose) Vande More of Hudson, S.D.; three sons, Clifford of South Sioux City; James of Hawarden, and Bill of Wewahitchka; three sisters, Mrs. Oral (Julia) Morgan, St. Paul, Minn.; Mrs. Stanley (Janie) Morgan of Littleton, Colo., and Miss Maye McNamara of Los Angeles, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
