BOTERHOEK, VOS, NIEUWENHUIS

Hospers-Neal Boterhoek, 83, Hospers, died Sept. 16 in a Primghar hospital of a brief illness.

Services were held at 10:30 A.M., Sept. 18 in the Presbyterian Church at Hospers. The Rev. Robert Offerdahl officiated. Burial was in Hospers Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home, Sioux Center.

Mr. Boterhoek was born Sept. 3, 1893 in The Netherlands. He came to this country in 1910. He married Anna Vos, Feb. 14, 1916 at Hospers. She died Oct. 29, 1950 in Hospers.

He married Mrs. Nell Nieuwenhuis Sept. 10, 1952 at Hospers. He was a retired farmer.

Survivors include the widow; two daughters, Mrs. Myrtle Lamfers of Hospers and Mrs. Mathilda Harmelink of Denver, Colo.; a son, Henry of Sheldon; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a step-son, Eugene Nieuwenhuis of Denver; a step-daughter, Mrs. Dennis (Arlene) Punt of Orange City, seven step-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Andries Bos in The Netherlands.
