Doon-Henry Van Tol, 72, of Doon, died Sept. 8 at a Sioux Center hospital of a long illness.

Services were at 2 P.M., Sept. 11 in the Christian Reformed Church at Doon. The Rev. William Dryfhout officiated. Burial was in Hillside Cemetery in Doon under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.

Mr. Van Tol was born April 29, 1904, in Carmel. He married Esther Halbersma Feb. 14, 1936, in Doon. He farmed in the Doon area and retired into Doon.

Survivors include the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Daryl (Hester) Christensen of Flandreau, S.D.; three brothers, Cornelius of Caledonia, Mich., William of Ripon, Calif., and Mynard of Sanborn; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Fabet of Rock Rapids, Mrs. Cornelius Groendyke of Sanborn and Mrs. Ike Steensma of Luverne, Minn.; and two grandchildren.
