Boyden-Mervin Yeager, 39, Boyden, a member of the Boyden City Council, died Sept. 6 of injuries he suffered the same date in a car accident near here.

Services were at 11 A.M., Sept. 9 in the United Methodist Church of Sheldon. The Rev. Calvin Teasdale officiated. Burial was in Boyden Cemetery under the direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home in Boyden.

Mr. Yeager was born July 30, 1937, at Farnhamville. He married Paula Jarvis Sept. 1, 1963, at Livermore. He was employed by Iowa Public Service Co. in Boyden the last three years.

Besides being a member of the Boyden City Council, he was a member of the Boyden Volunteer Fire Department, the Boyden Community Club, the Otter Valley Country Club and the United Methodist Church.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Matthew and Dallas, both at home; his parents, Mr. & Mrs. Ralph Yeager of Rockwell City; two brothers, Gene of Patterson, La., and Terry of Wassau, Wis., and his paternal grandfather, Frank Yeager of Lake City.
