Rock Valley-Mrs. Maas Van Grootheest, 71, Rock Valley, died Aug. 29 at a Rock Valley hospital after a brief illness.

Services were held at 10:30 A.M., Sept. 2 at the Porter Funeral Home, Rock Valley, with the Rev. William Suiker officiating. Burial was in Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Van Grootheest, the former Rowena Driesen, was born Aug. 1, 1905, in The Netherlands. She was married Feb. 4, 1930, in Rock Valley. He died Sept. 14, 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Edward and Gerald, both of Doon; a daughter, Mrs. Bernard (Theresa) TeSlaa of Rock Valley; a brother, John of Rock Valley; a sister, Mrs. Dick Post of Rock Valley; and nine grandchildren.
