OBITUARIES--William De Vos, 68 died Thursday at a Sioux Falls hospital after suffering a heart attack.

Services were at 10:a.m.at the HudsonLutheran Church with the Rev. Marlin Haugrud officiating. Burial was at the Eden Cemetery in Hudson,SD.

William De Vos was born April 11, 1909 to Fannie and Arie De Vos at Sioux Center, Iowa. He attended school at Sioux Center, Iowa. On February 14, 1936 he was united in marriage with Marie Van Beek at Orange City, Iowa. to this union three children were born; Johanna, Arlin and Mary. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. De Vos farmed in the Sioux Center, Hawarden and Hudson areas. In 1954 they moved to the town of Hudson to reside, but continued farming until his death. He was a member of the Hudson Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his mother.

Surviving him are his widow, Marie, of Hudson, one son, Arlin of Hudson, two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Johanna) Medema of Alcester, SD. and Mrs. William (Mary)De Vries of Walker, Minn. His father, Arie De Vos of Sioux Center, Iowa, one brother, John, of Hull, and one sister Mrs. Marion De Kock, Sr. of Hawarden and 8 grandchildren
