Born May 30, 1907, Passed Away April 9, l986
at age 78 years, l0 months, 9 days
Funeral Services on Saturday, April 12, l986 at l0:30 a.m. from the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa Clergyman-Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt, Casket Bearers-Lawrence Van Roekel,Dr.Duane Peuse, Leroy Bras, Michael Cleveringa, Evan Peuse and James De Boer.
Interment- Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sioux Center, Iowa
William, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Peuse, was born May 30, l907 at Maurice, Iowa. He lived his youth in Maurice and Ireton, and attended school there.
He was united in marriage to Hester N. Cleveringa of Sheldon on February 9, l944 on a farm near Newkirk. They lived in Columbus, Georgia after their marriage and later moved on farms near Maurice, Newkirk, Middleburg and Sioux Center, In May of l977, they retired and moved into Sioux Center, Iowa where they were presently living.
He was in the 4th Infantry Division in the Army and served in Alaska during World WarII. He was
a member of the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa
He is survived by his wife, Hester; one son, John William of Sioux Center, one daughter, Mrs. Klaas (Gertrude W. Van Beek of Sioux Center, six grandchildren; two brothers, John of South Sioux City, Nebr. and Henry of Orange City; four sisters, Mrs. Ben (Jennie) Van Roekel of Orange City; Mrs. Harry (Minnie) Bras of Sioux Center; Miss Mattie Peuse of Orange City; and Mrs. Alvin (Kate) Van Berkum of Orange City, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Cora Van Bruggen Peuse, in l94l; his parents;a brother, Evertt; and a sister, Sarah.
