Rites held Tuesday for Mrs. John J. Zevenbergen, 34
Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church here at l:30 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, for Mrs. John J. Zevenbergen of Sioux Center who passed away at the Sioux Center Community hospital Sunday morning at the age of 34.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Harry Brower and burial was made in the Sioux Center Cemetery under the direction of Vander Ploeg's Funeral home. A brief service was held at the Vander Ploeg Funeral chapel preceding the service at the church.
Mrs. Zevenbergen, nee Jacoba Kamerman, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Kamerman of Sioux Center, She was born in Sioux Center on April l7, l929 and resided all her life in this vicinity. She was married to John Zevenbergen on March 5, l952.
Survivors besides her husband and parents include two sisters, Berdena (Mrs. John Ravenhorst) of Clear Lake, S.D. and Arlene (Mrs. Joe Vander Brink of Orange City.
Mrs. Zevenbergen was a member of the First Reformed Church.
Pallbearers were Arie Schimmel, Peter G. Mouw, Charles Niessink, Gerrit Vander Vliet, Theodore Kaemingk and Gerrit Schut.
