Rock Valley--Nick R. Cleveringa, 74 Rock Valley, died Monday at a Canton, S.D., hospital after suffering an apparent heart attack.
Services were at l:30 p.m. Thursday at First Christian Reformed Church in Rock Valley. The Rev. Paul Bakker officiated. Burial was in the Valley View Cemetery in Rock Valley with the Porter Funeral Home in charge.
Mr. Cleveringa was born Feb. l6, l903 in Lebanon, Iowa. He married Hattie DeBoer Feb. l6, l928, in Rock Valley. They farmed near Alvord and Rock Valley before moving to Rock Valley in l954.
Survivors include the widow; a sons, Roger of Rock Valley; two daughters, Mrs. Henry (Joanne) Brinks of Hull and Mrs. Marlyn Vander Schaaf of Rock Valley; a brother, Leonard of Inwood; a sister, Mrs. William Vander Schaaf of Custer, S.D.; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
