FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services on Wednesday, November 23, 1983 at 1:30 p.m. from the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa.

John, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Bonnema, was born on November 28, 1907 at Orange City, Iowa. He attended school in rural Orange City and Ashcreek, Minnesota. He lived his youth in the Maurice and Orange City area. He was united in marriage with Ethel Vander Haar of Steen, Minnesota on March 13, 1933, at Steen, Minnesota, where they lived after their marriage, moving to Sioux Center, Iowa in 1943.
He passed away on Monday, November 21, 1983, at the Sioux Center Community Hospital after a lengthy illness at the age of seventy-five years, eleven months and twenty-three days.
He is survived by his wife Ethel; three sons and two daughters, Norman of Storm Lake, Iowa; Marlys (Mrs. Henry Van Aartsen) of Orange City, Iowa; Merle of Fort Collins, Colorado; Gene of Fern Park, Florida; Phyllis (Mrs. John De Kriek) of Cerritos, California; thirteen grandchildren, and three brothers, Nelson, Milton and Arnold all of Steen, Minnesota.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a twin brother, Peter John, and a sister Kathleen.
He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Sioux Center, Iowa.
