Alton-- Mrs Jacob Haupert, 68, Alton, died Sunday in a Kansas City, Mo., hospital following a brief illness.
Services were at l0:30a.m. Wednesday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alton. The Rev. Mervin Hood officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.
The Rosary was recited at 3 and 8 p.m. Tuesday at the parish hall in Alton.
Mrs. Haupert, The former Hilda Potebaum, was born June 19, 1909, in Alton and was a life-long Alton resident. She was employed at the Heritage House Nursing Home in Orange City for the past nine years.
She was married Nov. 26, l929 in Alton.
Mrs. Haupert was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Alton, the Catholic Daughters of America and St. Mary's Rosary Society. She was vacationing in Kansas City at the time of her death.
Survivors include the widower; three sons, Dennis of Memphis, Tenn., Dale of Atlantic and Jerry of Sioux City; five dauthers, Mrss Elain Haupert and Miss Lorraine Haupert, both of Orange City, Mrs. Frank (Ardella) Colabello Jr. of Omaha, Mrs Ron (Judy) Green of Denver, Colo.,and Miss Jeanne Haupert of Dubuque: Seven brothers, Frank of Orange City, John of Remsen, William of Marcus, Antone and Al, both of Alton,
Leo of Granville and Martin of Sioux City; two sisters, Mother Mary Leola of Beaverton, Ore., and Mrs. Rose Minten of Alton, and nine grandchildren.
