Sioux Center-Richard Schoellerman, 56, of Sioux Center died Oct. 8 at a Sioux Falls hospital of a brief illness.

Services were held at 2 P.M., Oct. 11 in Peace Lutheran Church, rural Sioux Center, with the Rev. Robert D. Hansen officiating. Burial in the church cemetery was under direction of the VanDeMore Funeral Home, Hudson, S.D.

Mr. Schoellerman was born Jan. 2, 1920 at Rock Valley and grew up in the Rock Valley and Fairview, S.D. areas. On March 31, 1944, he married Lucinda "Cindy" Williams at Fairview. The couple lived at Fairview one year, then moved to the Lebanon Community near Sioux Center. He was in the trucking business there.

Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. John (Phyllis) Van Beek of Irene, S.D., Mrs. John (Doralee) Lynch of Vermillion, S.D., and Miss Candace, at home; four sons, Arnold of Hawarden, Ronald, Monroe and Roger, all at home; four grandchildren; three brothers, John of Hudson, Herman of Hawarden and Lawrence of Fairview; five sisters, Mrs. Jewel (Bertha) Dean of Rockaway Beach, Mo., Mrs. Ed (Dorothy) Skotvold of Montrose, S.D., Mrs. Clifford (Emma) Whitten of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. Milo (Alice) Iseminger of Ontario, Calif., and Mrs. Chris (Hilda) Erickson of Flandreau, S.D.
