Sioux Center-Edward Holtrop, 77, Sioux Center, died Oct. 16 at a Sioux Center hospital.

Services were at 1:30 P.M., Oct. 20 at the First Christian Reformed Church with Dr. O. Y. DeJong officiating. Burial in Middleburg Cemetery was under direction of the Vander Ploeg Funeral Home.

Mr. Holtrop was born July 18, 1889. He married Maria Baartman Oct. 17, 1919 in Doon, and she died June 27, 1969.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Bert (Plonia) Regnerus of Sioux Center; a son, Bert of China, Calif.; three sisters, Mrs. John (Alice) Gorter of Edgerton, Minn., Mrs. Jake (Ethel) Boer of Sheldon and Mrs. John (Tena) Klein of Wyoming, Mich.; a brother, Louis of Hawarden; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
