Rock Valley-John Frembgen, 77, Rock Valley, died Nov. 2 at a hospital of a long illness.

Services were at 10:30 A.M., Nov. 5 in St. Mary Catholic Church. The Rev. Patrick Nooney officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery. The Rosary was said at 8:45 P.M., Nov. 4 at the Porter Funeral Home.

Mr. Frembgen was born Nov. 3, 1898, in Rock Valley. He married Mary McGuire Oct. 3, 1928 at Rock Rapids. Mrs. Frembgen died May 27, 1976.

Survivors include three sons, John Jr. of Madison, Wis., Vernon of Alvord and Roger of Rock Valley; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Sullivan and Mrs. Thomas (Martha) McCarty, both of Alvord, and Mrs. Marvin (Mary) Roemen of Rock Rapids; 30 grandchildren, and a great grandchild.
