Seven Year Old Newkirk Boy Dies Tuesday
On Tuesday morning, Sept. 17, the community was shocked to hear of the sudden death of Walter Langstraat the young son of Mr. and Mrs. W.C. Langstraat. He was stricken in the preceding Wed. with inflamatory rheumatism which resulted in an obstruction of the bowels. He was taken to the Sheldon Hospital at l0 O'clock Tuesday and died on the operating table a short time later.
At the time of his passing he was 7 years. 2 months and 15 days. Besides his parents he has six brothers and two sisters who will greatly miss him; also numerous relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held Fri., Sept. 20 at 1:30 at the home and 2:00 o'clock at the Newkirk Ref. Church. Burial will take place at the Newkirk cemetery. Pall bearers will include John oolbekkink, Gerrit John Diekevers, Gilbert Rensink, and Virgil Menning. We greatly sympathize with the bereaved family.
