Myron Peterson, Service Friday Jan 7, 2005 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church 1100 Central Avenue Hawarden IA. Pastor Stuart Schreur officiating. Burial will folllow at the Grace Hill Cemetery Hawarden. Arrangements by Porter Funeral HOme of Hawarden.
Myron E. Peterson, 85, of Hawarden, died Monday January 3, 2005 at the Hawarden Community Hospital.
Myron E. Peterson was born August 3, 1919 in Sioux City, Iowa, the son of Edward and Mary (Jacobson) Peterson. He greduated from the Hawarden High School in 1937. He married Velma Marshall on February 14, 1940 in Hawarden. Together they farmed in Union County SD until retirement in 1982.
Myron was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Chruch in Hawarden where he served as a Sunday school teacher, a Deacon and a Trustee.
He is survived by his children, Roger and wife Marilyn Peterson of Rochester MN, Morris and wife Andrea Peterson of Sioux city, Iowa and Marlys and Husband Shannon Keeney of Maple Grove MN; a sister -in-law, Conrelis Peterson of Hawarden; three grand children and three great grandchildren. Myron was preceded in death by this parents; his wife Velma on Jul 18, 1993; and his brother Virgil Peterson.
