ALTON--Henry Hoefer, 78, Alton, died Saturday near Grandville in a auto accident.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alton. The Rev. Mervin Hood officiated. The Rosary was said at 3 and 8 p.m. Monday in the church hall. Burial was in the parish cemetery under direction of the Fisch Funeral Home, Remsen.

Mr. Hoefer was born April 2, 1899,in Alton. He lived and farm in the Alton area

Survivors include nieces and nephews.
