Alton--Peter G. Vander Wilt Sr., 62, Alton, died Monday at an Orange City hospital after a brief illness.
Services were at l0 a.m. Wednesday at the First Reformed Church and the Rev.Clarence Greving officiated. Burial was in Nassau Township Cemetery near Alton under direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home of Orange City.
Mr. Vander Wilt was born May 21, l9l5, in Boyden and married Florence Rienstra on Sept. l7, l945 in Orange City.
He was an implement mechanic for 32 years and served in World War II. He was a member of the First Reformed Church and was serving on the church board at the time of his death. He was treasurer of the church's benevolent fund.
Survivors include the widow; three daughters, Mrs. Cliff (Audrey) Vander Zwaag of Orange City, Mrs. Kenn (Janice) Top of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Greg (Lila) Oldenkamp of Hospers, Iowa; three sons, Gary of Aplington and Darrell and Peter Jr., both of Alton; eight grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Geertrude Kosters of Orange City; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Arta) Plender of Orange City and Mrs. Julius (Anna) Mae Siebersma
of Coal City, Ill., and a brother, Clifford of Phoenix, Ariz.
