Sioux Center News- October 26, l977
Hull--Dick De Jongh, 76, Hull died unexpectedly Thursday at his home.
Services were at l:30 p.m. Monday at the First Reformed Church in Hull. the Rev. David TerBeest officiated. Burial was in Hope Cemetery in Hull under direction of the Kraai Funeral Home of Hull.
Mr. DeJongh was born Oct. 4, l90l. He married Winefred Dykstra Feb. l9, l924. They farmed in the Hull area from l953 until l966 and then in the Hartley area until retiring to Hull.
He was a member of the First Reformed Church of Hull.
Survivors include the widow; a son, Marlo of Parkville, Mo.; four daughters, Mrs. John (Edna Mae) Hime of San Antonio, Tex., Mrs. Gerrit (Lorraine) Bos of Fayette, Mo., Mrs. Morris (Verga) Nettinga of Hull and Mrs. Virgil (Colleen Van De Brake of Sheldon; five brothers, Peter of Hills, Minn., Henry of Hull, John and Willis, both of Bellflower, Calif., and Freeman of Red Oak; two sisters, Mrs. John (Agnes) Wolfswinkle of Edgerton, Minn., and Mrs. Frank (Dena) De Boer of Bellflower; 19 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
