Rock Valley--Arthur Helder, 83, Rock Valley, died Monday at a Rock Valley hospital following a brief illness.
Services were at l:30 p.m. Thursday at the Pioneer United Methodist Church, Rock Valley. the Rev. David Waterman offficiated. Burial was in Richland Cemetery, Inwood, under direction of the Porter Funeral Home of Rock Valley.
Mr. Helder was born June 13, l894, in Sioux County.
He married Ann Helder on June 20, l942 in Redwood City, Calif. They farmed near Inwood until retiring and moving to Rock Valley in l964. She died July 7, l977.
He was an Army veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion at Rock Valley.
Survivors include two sons, Dale of Saratoga, Calif., and Roger of Canton, S.D.; a daughter, Mrs. Carl (Nadine) Lindner of Los Angeles, a brother, Lee of Los Molinos, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. A.C. (Emma) Hanson of Inwood,
Mill jElla M. Helder of Inglewood, Calif., Mrs. Roy (Ruth) Withrow of Gardena, Calif., Mrs. Larry
(Ester) Anderson of Sioux City and Mrs. Clarence (Carol) Anderson of Hayti, S.D.; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
