Sioux Center News- October 19, l977
Mrs. Evert Reinders, 86, Orange City, died Thursday at an Orange City hospital of long illness.
Services were at l:30 p.m. Saturday in the First Christian Reformed Church. The Rev. M. S. Jorritsma and the Rev. John Rubingh officiated. Burial was in West Lawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Gelder Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reinders, the former Jeanette Van Peursem, was born Jan. 89, l89l at Orange City. She married Breunis Reinders Feb. l7, l9l5. He died Aug. l9, l923. She married Evert Reinders Oct. l0, l928 at Orange City. He died Aug. l7, l977 at Orange City. The couple farmed south of town until l943 when they moved to town.
For the last years she lived at the Pioneer Memorial Home here. She was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Orange City and the ladies organization "Thy Kingdom Come."
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Everly) Visser and Mrs. Delbert (Sebianne) Popma, both of Orange City and Mrs. Julius (Gertrude) Singer of South Bend, Ind.; two sons, John B. and Bernard, both of Orange City; 15 grandchildren; l6 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Abe of Orange City and the Rev. William of Redlands, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Tony (Adrianna) De Weerd and Mrs. John S. (Minnie) DeGroot, both of Orange City.
