MRS. P. JELTEMA DIES AT CO. SEAT

Mrs. Peter Jeltema 70, died very suddenly at her home in Orange City Friday, March 15. Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 19 at 1 o'clock in the home and at 1:30 in the First Chr. Ref. church with Dr. R. Bronkema officiating.

Mrs. Jeltema, nee Maartje Haarsma was born in Friesland, the Netherlands on June 7, 1875. At the age of 17 she migrated to the U.S. On May 4, 1894 she was married to Peter Jeltema at Orange City. He preceded her in death on Oct. 27, 1945.

She is survived by 5 children: Dore (sic-Dora), Mrs. A. Smits, and John of Orange City; Diewke, Mrs. M. Timmerman of Lake Odessa, Mich; Bertha, Mrs. P. Kroeze (sic-Kroese) of Maurice and Peter of Ashton; 3 sisters: Bertha, Mrs. K. De Groot, and Clara, Mrs. J. De Groot of Orange City; and Dora, Mrs. H. Heemstra of Monroe, S.D. and 1 brother, Dick Haarsma of Orange City. There are 13 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
