FORMER RESIDENT HERE DIES IN WEST

Mrs. Nancy Johnson died at her home in Seattle, Washington, Wednesday Jan. 3, after a lingering illness. She was born in Racine, Wis., on July 14, 1869, and came to Sioux County, in 1890, growing to womanhood on a farm near Maurice.

In 1897 she was married to Charles Johnson and lived in Sioux City and St. Joseph, Mo., moving to Seattle, Wash., fifteen years ago. Deceased is survived by three brothers, J.S. Mieras of Sioux City, William Mieras of Rochester, Minn., J.E. Mieras of Maurice, Iowa, and two sisters, Mrs. Susan Van Pelt of Glendale, Calif., and Mrs. Nellie Kuhl of Odebolt, Iowa.

The remains were brought to Sioux City and interment took place at Graceland Park cemetery, beside those of her daughter who preceded her mother in death 18 years ago.
