WEDDED AT ST. JOSEPH’S CHURCH

A pretty wedding occurred on Tuesday morning, Feb. 10, at St. Joseph’s
church, Granville, when Mr. Raymond Beckmann and Miss Veronica Penning, took
the vows of matrimony, Rev. John A. Gerlemann officiating at the impressive
ceremony, the Mass beginning at 8 a.m.

The wedding march was played on the great organ by Miss Monica M. Diers.
The bride was pretty in a wedding gown of white satin, with veil and
accessories to match. Her bridesmaid, Miss Marian Beckmann, was attired in
rose beige flat crepe. Mr. Mike Penning was best man.

Both of the young people are well and favorably known in their home
community and both are well equipped to make a success of their chosen
occupation, that of farming. They will make their home on the farm east of
Granville, where the bridegroom has been farming the past few years.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Beckmann, prominent farmers
of the Granville vicinity, while the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
John Penning and comes of another prominent Granville family.

THE DEMOCRAT joins with their host of friends in congratulations and hearty
best wishes.
