WEDDING BELLS

KONZ-MOUSEL
At St. Mary’s Catholic church in Alton on Tuesday, January 11, John P. Konz and Miss Theresia M. Mousel were united in marriage, the ceremony being solemnized by Very Rev. F. J. Brune in the presence of a great number of friends and relatives.

The ceremony took place at half after eight Tuesday morning and was one of the prettiest weddings that has ever taken place. St. Mary’s was decorated with cream roses and lilies of the valley, harmonizing with the bride’s beautiful costume of white satin trimmed with shadow lace. Miss Pauline Mousel, the bridesmaid, appeared in a beautiful gown of yellow crepe de chine. The groomsman was Joseph Konz.

After the ceremony the bridal party repaired to the home of the bride’s parents where many friends were received and congratulations tendered. A great many handsome and useful presents were received by the young couple from admiring friends and happy relatives. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Mousel. She has always been very popular among a wide circle of friends. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Konz of Alton and is highly thought of and respected. Mr. and Mrs. John P. Konz will make their home after March 1st on a farm six and one-half miles from Alton.

The following were guests from abroad at the wedding: Mr. and Mrs. Peter Hourseht, John Mousel, Leo J. Hansen, Miss Anna Hansen, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Bricher, Mr. and Mrs. Nic Schmidt, all of Dell Rapids, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Peter Kramer and son Barney and daughter, Miss Lone, of Wilmont, Minn.; Mr. and Mrs. Andy Noethe of Sutherland; Mr. and Mrs. R. J. Plathe of Paullina; and Mr. and Mrs. Math Konz, of Granville.
