Miss Katherine Ronsiek and Mr. Ernest Eilers Wed August 3rd

Miss Katherine Ronsiek and Mr. Ernest Eilers motored to Creighton, Neb., Friday, Aug. 3rd, where they were quietly married that day at the Lutheran parsonage, Rev. Overmeyer officiating. They have now returned to Hawarden and will make their home in this city.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Ronsiek, highly respected citizens of Hawarden, and all her life has been spent in this vicinity. She moved from Washington township to Hawarden with her parents several years ago and has attended the Hawarden public schools being a member of the Junior class in the local high school the past year. She is a young lady of many attainments and will readily adapt herself to her new life. The bridegroom is the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. J. Eilers, highly esteemed farmers of Washington township. He attended the Hawarden high school and was a member of the graduating class of 1925. After he had finished his high school course he attended the Coyne Electrical school in Chicago from which he graduated in 1926. He is an industrious young man of true worth. He has been employed at the Mallette Battery Station in this city at various times but he has now accepted a position in the mechanical department of the Ford garage and will take up his work there next Monday. The Independent joins the many friends of this young couple in extending congratulations.
