BONNEMA—VOS

On Friday evening, February 26, a beautiful home wedding took place at the farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bonnema Sr., of Eagle township, when their daughter, Mathilda, was united in marriage to Mr. Joseph Vos, of Hawarden. Rev. Arthur Kort, pastor of the Christian Ref. church at Lebanon, officiated. The couple was unattended.

The bride was charmingly attired in a peach colored georgette silk gown with accessories to match. The bridegroom wore a neat brown serge business suit.

Preceding the wedding ceremony the beautiful solo, “Calvary,” was sung by Miss Alice Sluiter with Mrs. Adrian Haverhals at the piano.

Following the wedding, a 3-course wedding dinner was served to some sixty guests, close relatives, brothers and sisters of the members of the family of the contracting parties.

The bride is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Dick Bonnema of Eagle township and has grown to lovely young womanhood in this community. She has assisted her mother in the home following her completion of school days and is well versed in the arts of home making. She will make a happy home for the man of her choice.

The bridegroom has been employed on various farms in this community and is a fine young man of sober, industrious habits and will no doubt continue to make a success of his farming operations.

They plan to make their home in this community. Congratulations are extended.
