They came to Sioux county March nineteenth 1878 and located three miles west of Rock Valley and she shared with her husband the privations of pioneer days. She was the mother of five children—three girls and two boys—three of whom still survive her namely—Frank Henningfield and Mrs, Mary Greiner and Mrs. Anna Rudloff all of Rock Valley.
For several years she has been in delicate health and as a result mingled but little in society. Finally the silver thread of life was severed and she passed over the mystical stream to join that innumerable company in that country that knows no pain or sorrow. She was a good wife and a devoted and affectionate mother and a devout member of the Catholic church. May her numerous friends and relatives be ready to meet her in those blissful regions of immortality.
Funeral services were conducted by her pastor Rev. Father O'Reilly Monday morning after which her remains were consigned to the last home of man in the Catholic cemetery south of town. May her weary soul repose in peace.
