Lyda M., daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. C. Nichols, aged 14 years and 4 months, died Wednesday afternoon of this week, of scarlet fever, after an illness of one week. The remains were laid to rest in the Shelby cemetery, yesterday. She was a bright promising young daughter, whose departure will be sadly missed.
