In 1997, Allen and Mark Garrett bought Harlan Builders and owned it until the business was sold again in 2013; Allen then retired at that time.
Hobbies/Interests: Enjoyed camping, traveling, fishing and golfing; he became a member of the Harlan Volunteer Fire Department in Nov. 1980 and became captain in 1985, a position he held until he retired in 1991.
