Hobbies/Interests: loved to cook and bake, especially homemade bread for her husband; she always had something for the children when they came home from school. She was an excellent seamstress and sewed most of her daughters’ clothes when they were little, which were often times the envy of their friends. She made many quilts, including baby quilts. She butchered and sold chickens and did a lot of canning and freezing of foods. She took care of Nicholas until his death.
