Education: attended rural schools in Monroe Township; graduated from Harlan High School, Class of 1946. That summer she attended summer school in Carroll, IA and received her Limited Elementary Teaching Certificate.

Religious affiliation: Marjorie trusted Christ as her Savior when she was a young girl. She was most recently a member of Topeka Bible Church and had been active in all the churches she attended.

Marriage: Wayne Sorensen; June 10, 1949; Bethel Baptist Church in Harlan, IA

Employment: She taught schools in Monroe Township (Shelby County, Iowa) for 3 years

Hobbies/Interests: Marjorie made a home for her family in many places: Fort Dodge, Atlantic, Fairfield, Cedar Falls, West Des Moines, Harlan, and Walnut, IA as well as Columbus, NE, Hopkins, MN, and, since 2004, Topeka, KS. She enjoyed keeping in contact with family and the many friends she made while living in different places.
