Employment: Alyce Mae enjoyed farm life; after her husband Wayne died on May 5, 1965, Alyce Mae continued to manage the farm and help her son raise hogs and sheep. After her remarriage 2 years later, Vernon and Alyce Mae enjoyed traveling as well as living and working on the farm.

Hobbies/Interests: Alyce Mae was always busy cleaning and baking, and a generous hostess to company. She took pride in her home; she was always up around 5:00 a.m. and went to bed early. Over the years, Alyce Mae enjoyed visits from her neighbors and the daily contacts by phone. Her favorite hobby was watching birds out her window, especially goldfinches and cardinals. She was blessed with 3 granddaughters and enjoyed outings with them on the weekends. She also had 2 great-granddaughters of which she was very proud.
