Died: Oct. 26, 2011; perished, along with her spouse, Robert "Bob" Anthony Schwery, as the result of a vehicle accident south of Harlan, IA.

Funeral services: Mass of Christian Burial: Saturday, Oct. 29, 2011, St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Panama, IA; Rev. John Dorton officiated. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Panama, IA.

Survived by: Children, Doug Schwery (spouse, Tresa) of Panama, IA, Randy "Brick" Schwery (spouse, Pam) of Earling, IA, Dale Schwery of Panama, IA, and Bradley Schwery (spouse, Melissa) of Portsmouth, IA; 10 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law, Donnie Schwery (spouse, Roseanne) of Des Moines, IA and Duane "Dewey" Schwery (spouse, Kathy) of Plattsmouth, NE; sister, Elaine (spouse, Ralph) Tremel of Panama, IA; brother-in-law, Leo Kenkel of Woodbine, IA; other family members and many friends.

Predeceased by: Mother, Rita Dresen; sister-in-law, Monica Kenkel; parents-in-law, Lawrence and Agnes Schwery

Education: graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Class of 1961

Religious affiliation: baptized and confirmed at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Earling, IA

Marriage: Robert "Bob" Anthony Schwery; Oct. 17, 1961; St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Earling, IA

Employment: Sally was a homemaker, raising the children and helping Bob around the farm when she could. She worked as a nurses’ aide and a Home Health aide for a short time before owning and operating the Highway Café in Earling, IA during the early 80's. She also worked at The Evergreen Inn in Harlan, IA and as a cook at Nub’s Pub in Panama, IA and the Westphalia Club House.

Hobbies/Interests: Once Sally retired, she enjoyed quilting and spoiling her family members. The couple spent their winters in Texas, but were always ready to come home to their family.
