His other hobbies included playing cards and pool, attending and assisting at corn memorabilia exhibits with his son-in-law, Steve, and taking baseball trips with his sons. He also announced baseball games and coached the youth baseball teams. Leland liked making trips to the sale barn/stockyards, and to the dog/horse races.
