Employment: After many years as a homemaker, Dorothy worked at Variety Distributors and also owned and operated Reid’s Pink Petal Flower Shop with her husband. Dorothy kept the books and helped manage Reid Bus Lines, a business started by her husband. She spent a lot of time taking care of her husband as his health failed.

Hobbies/Interests: Dorothy and her husband liked to travel, going on several cruises and visiting family members across the country. Family vacations revolved around boating and camping. She was an avid reader of both novels and periodicals with an insatiable desire to follow current events; that interest extended to volunteering at election polls. Dorothy enjoyed gardening, growing both flowers and vegetables in the summer.
